Purchasing Manager Italy
For our client, leading manufacturing company, we are looking for the Purchasing Manager Italy.
The resource will be directly responsible for:
The strategic and advanced purchasing activities within the given section/ commodity ensuring compliance with global purchasing objectives and strategies of PPT;
The leading general supplier affairs, e.g. claim management, analysis of potential suppliers, resourcing, financial Improvement, processes etc.;
The relationship with the suppliers;
The systematic market research by continuous investigation of local and international markets;
The final negotiation considering all purchasing criteria (review purchase requests, prepare bidders list, and select suppliers, evaluate quotes etc.);
The management of material costs and related plannings in order to achieve targets. Guarantee financial control over the programs (on component level);
The set-up of team structure.
In addition the resource should possess the following skills:
At least 7-10 years in Automotive purchasing manufacturing experience
Strong Leadership Skills, 2-5 years in team management experience
Priority setting;
Experience in two of the following commodities is a distinct advantage for this position: castings, plastics, stampings, bearings/sales/gaskets, sintered/powder metal parts.
knowledge of technical drawings reading.
The profile is completed by the capacity to work in team and the possess of SAP computer skills and the Office package (MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Lotus Notes. The resource has to be completely fluent in English and possess a degree in engineering (Mechanical engineering degree is an advantage).
